Paraguay’s annual inflation reached 4.6% in August 2025, up from 4.3% in July, driven mainly by higher food prices (+8.8%) and services (+4.4%), with notable increases in recreation and culture (+5.8%), education (+4.9%), and restaurants and hotels (+7%).
These pressures were partly offset by declines in fuel (-4.4%) and transport (-1.1%).
On a monthly basis, inflation eased to 0.1% from 0.4% in July.
