Paraguay Inflation Falls to Lowest Since 2021

Paraguay’s annual inflation rate eased to 2.7% in January 2025 from 3.1% in December, marking its lowest level since April 2021.
Price pressures were strongest in food goods, where inflation reached 6.7%, followed by services at 3.7%.
Income-related inflation remained subdued at 0.7%.
In contrast, other goods prices recorded deflation of 1.6%.
Core inflation stood at 3.3%, remaining above the headline rate.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.6% in January, reversing a 0.3% decline in the previous month.
