Moldova Producer Inflation Eases in October

Producer prices in Moldova rose to 6.4% year-on-year in October 2025, easing from a 7.1% increase in the previous month.

Price growth slowed for mining and quarrying (7.3% vs 10.4% September) and manufacturing (3.8% vs 4.6%), with notable moderation in dairy products, sugar, and vegetable and animal oils and fats.

At the same time, costs remained steady for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply at 31.2% for the third consecutive month.

On a monthly basis, producer prices decreased 0.5% in October from a 0.1% fall in the preceding period.

Producer prices in Moldova rose by 6.3% year-on-year in December 2025, easing from 6.4% in the previous two months. Price growth slowed in mining and quarrying (7.6% vs 8.9% in November) and manufacturing (3.5% vs 3.6% in November), particularly in the manufacture of vegetable and animal oils and fats and dairy products. Meanwhile, costs in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply stood at 35%, unchanged from November. On a monthly basis, producer prices recorded a flat reading in December, following a 0.1% increase in the preceding period.

The annual producer inflation in Moldova stood at 6.4% in November 2025, unchanged from the previous month. Prices eased slightly in manufacturing (3.6% vs 3.8% in October), particularly in the food industry and vegetable and animal oils and fats. Meanwhile, prices increased at a faster pace in mining and quarrying (8.9% vs 7.3%) and in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (35% vs 31.2%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.1%, rebounding from a 0.5% decline in the previous month.
