Malta Producer Inflation Unchanged in April

Producer prices in Malta rose 0.9% year-on-year in April 2026, matching the pace recorded in March.
Inflation accelerated for intermediate goods (2.0% versus 1.6%), while easing for capital goods (3.2% versus 4.0%).
At the same time, deflation in consumer goods deepened slightly (-0.6% versus -0.5%), with durable goods prices rising by 0.1% and non-durable goods deflation increased (-0.6% versus -0.5%).
Energy costs remained unchanged at 0%.
By territory, producer inflation softened for both domestic markets (1.3% versus 1.5%) and non-domestic markets (0.4% versus 0.5%).
On a monthly basis, producer prices remained unchanged in April, following a 0.3% decline in March.
