Kyrgyzstan Inflation Hits Nearly 3-Year High

The annual inflation rate in Kyrgyzstan rose to 11% in March 2026 from 9.7% in the previous month, marking the highest level since May 2023.
Price pressures intensified across several categories, including food and non-alcoholic products (10.9% vs 8.8% in February), clothing and footwear (5.8% vs 5.1%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (9.5% vs 8.6%), household goods and appliances (7.8% vs 7.3%), healthcare (11.7% vs 11%), restaurants and hotels (21.2% vs 15.9%), and recreation and culture (12.3% vs 12.2%).
Meanwhile, inflation eased for housing and utilities (13.1% vs 14.1%) and transport (8.9% vs 9.5%), while remaining steady for education (22.4%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged higher to 1.3% in March from 1.2% in the prior month, the highest reading since October 2025.
