Kazakhstan’s industrial production expanded by 7.1% year-on-year in October 2025, accelerating from an eight-month low of 5.2% rise in the previous month.

The advance was mainly driven by faster increase in output for mining and quarrying (12.5% vs 6.8% in September) and electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning supply (3.2% vs 3%).

On the other hand, production growth slowed in the manufacturing sector (2.2% vs 4.1%), while activity declined sharper for water supply, waste management, and pollution control (-3.8% vs -1.6%).

On a monthly basis, industrial output fell by 0.6% in October, easing from a 2.9% drop in the preceding period.

Considering the first ten months of the year, industrial production was 7.3% higher compared with the same period a year ago.
