Kazakhstan Industrial Output Growth Edges Down in December

Kazakhstan’s industrial production rose 8.1% year-on-year in December 2025, edging down from an 8.2% increase in the previous month.
Output growth for mining and quarrying moderated sharply (5.9% vs 10.8% in November).
At the same time, supply for electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning fell (-0.6% vs 3.2%), while the decline in water supply, waste management and pollution control deepened (-7.7% vs -6.9%).
In contrast, manufacturing output growth accelerated to 11.6% from 6.4% in the previous month.
On a monthly basis, industrial output rose 10.4% in December from 7.3% in November.
Over the full year of 2025, industrial production was up 7.5% from the same period a year earlier.
