Producer prices in Jordan rose by 5.41% year-on-year in September 2026, accelerating from 3.47% in August and reaching their highest level since May.
The increase was driven primarily by faster price growth in manufacturing (5.60% vs. 3.71%), particularly in coke and refined petroleum products (49.1% vs. 33.67%) and fabricated metal products, excluding machinery and equipment (4.23% vs. 0.38%).
Price growth also accelerated in mining and quarrying (6.46% vs. 1.50%), while edging up slightly in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (1.78% vs. 1.74%).
On a monthly basis, producer prices increased by 0.92% in September, reversing a 0.61% decline in August and returning to positive growth after three consecutive months of contraction.
