Israel Tourist Arrivals Fall in August

The number of tourist arrivals in Israel fell 1.9 percent year-on-year to 115.9 thousand in August 2026, reversing a 28.6% surge in the previous month.

Total visitor arrivals declined to 117.6 thousand from 119.6 thousand, while day visitors increased to 1.7 thousand from 1.3 thousand.

In January-August, tourist arrivals totaled 668.2 thousand, down from 827.5 thousand in the same period of 2025.

The US accounted for the largest share of arrivals at 34.9 percent, followed by France at 13.1 percent, the UK at 7.9 percent and Russia at 4.8 percent.
