Construction output in Greece increased by 7.1% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, slowing from 16.4% growth in the previous quarter.
The moderation was mainly driven by civil engineering, which declined 10.7% after expanding 6.8% in Q1.
Meanwhile, activity in residential and non-residential building construction grew 17.6%, easing slightly from 18.9%, while specialised construction activities increased 16.1%, slowing from 22.3%.
On a quarterly basis, construction output rose by 30.6% in the second quarter, sharply reversing from a 44.6% decline in the preceding period.
