Croatia’s industrial production rose by 1.7% year-on-year in May 2025, easing from a three-month high of a 6.5% gain in the previous month.

This marked the weakest growth in industrial activity since the contraction in November 2024, as output slowed for manufacturing (4.9% vs 7.3% in April), particularly in the manufacture of tobacco products, the manufacture of basic metals, and the manufacture of wearing apparel.

In addition, output tumbled for electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (-11.9% vs 9.5%).

Meanwhile, output was unchanged for mining and quarrying (-3.3%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production fell by 2.9% in May 2025, reversing a 2.5% rise in the previous month.
