Argentina Economic Activity Expands for 5th Month

Argentina's economic activity estimator rose by 5.6% year-on-year in March 2025, easing from an upwardly revised 6.0% increase in February, and expanding for the fifth consecutive month.
The moderation reflected slower growth in sectors such as manufacturing (4.2% vs.
4.9% in February), financial services (29.3% vs.
30.3%), and transportation (1.5% vs.
2.9%), while utilities (-4.3% vs.
0.2%) slipped into contraction.
In contrast, activity accelerated in agriculture (6.0% vs.
4.2%), mining and quarrying (5.7% vs.
5.2%), and construction (9.9% vs.
3.6%).
On a seasonally adjusted basis, output fell by 1.8%, while the trend-cycle indicator advanced by 0.2%.
