Argentina Inflation Picks Up in November

Consumer prices in Argentina rose 2.5% month-on-month in November 2025, following a 2.3% increase in October and slightly above expectations of 2.4%.
Prices accelerated for recreation and culture (2.4% vs 1.6% in October), restaurants and hotels (2.7% vs 2.2%), housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (3.4% vs 2.8%) and communication (2.7% vs 2.2%).
Meanwhile, prices slowed for transportation (3.0% vs 3.5%), clothing and footwear (0.5% vs 2.4%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (1.2% vs 2.4%) and home equipment and maintenance (1.1% vs 1.6%).
Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices rose to 2.4% from 2.3%.
On a year-on-year basis, consumer prices rose 31.4%, up slightly from 31.3% in October, the first acceleration since the sharp disinflationary trend began in early 2024 and above expectations of 30.9%.
