The annual inflation rate in Zimbabwe dropped to 32.7% in October 2025, the lowest since December 2023, from 82.7% in the previous month.
This marked the third consecutive month of slowing inflation, helped by the relative stability of the ZIG.
Prices cooled down for most categories, including food & non-alcoholic beverages (32.5% vs 96.4% in September); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (29.7% vs 102.8%); clothing & footwear (32.3% vs 93.1%); housing & utilities (41.8% vs 70%); transportation (27.8% vs 75.6%) and miscellaneous goods & sevrices (25.7% vs 94%).
On a monthly basis, the CPI fell by 0.4% in September, the steepest decrease since May 2024, after a 0.2% downtick in the prior month.
