Vietnam Tourist Arrivals Up 15.7% YoY in December

International arrivals to Vietnam rose by 15.7% year on year to a nine-month high of 2.02 million in December 2025, following a 15.6% increase in November.

Arrivals from Asia increased by 11%, led by strong growth from China (25.7%), Japan (8.2%), Malaysia (16.9%), Singapore (32.6%), and Philippines (61.4%).

Visitors from the Americas also rose by 20.6%, particularly from the US (12.6%), Canada (26.8%), and other American countries (131%).

In Europe, arrivals surged by 47.3%, with notable increases from Russia (239.7%), the UK (15.6%), France (17.6%), and Germany (17.5%).

Tourists from Australia edged higher by 3.6%, while arrivals from Africa went up by 29.5%.

On a monthly basis, arrivals rose by 2.2%.

For the full year of 2025, total international arrivals climbed 20.4% to 21.17 million.

International arrivals to Vietnam rose by 18.5% year-on-year to 2.45 million in January 2026, the highest since records began in 2015, following a 15.7% increase in the previous month. Breakthrough visa policies, innovative in promotion and marketing, increased product diversification, and improved service quality helped attract a large number of international visitors. Arrivals from Asia increased by 12.3%, led by South Korea, China, and Cambodia, while particularly strong growth was recorded from Cambodia (122.7%), India (80.5%), Philippines (75.0%), and Singapore (51.7%). Visitors from the Americas also rose by 14.2%, particularly from the US (12.0%) and Canada (22.9%). In Europe, arrivals surged by 59.0%, with notable increases from Russia (195.1%), the UK (23.0%), France (25.3%), and Germany (18.0%). Tourists from Australia went up by 12.8%, while arrivals from Africa climbed by 45.4%. On a monthly basis, arrivals rose by 21.4%.

Vietnam Tourist Arrivals Rise 15.6% in November
International arrivals to Vietnam rose by 15.6% year on year to an eight-month high of 1.98 million in November 2025, following a 22.1% increase in October. Favorable visa policies, promotion programs, and large-scale events helped attract a large number of international visitors. Arrivals from Asia increased by 13.7%, led by China (+27.5%), Japan (+10.2%), and Malaysia (+17.7%), while particularly strong growth was recorded from the Philippines (+108.9%) and India (+53.3%). Visitors from the Americas also rose by 11.9%, mainly driven by the US (+13.7%) and other American countries (+9.7%). In Europe, arrivals surged by 65.8%, led by Russia (+266.7%), which accounted for nearly 27% of total European visitors. Arrivals also grew from the UK (+16.2%), France (+11.9%), Germany (+6.0%), and Spain (+9.3%). Tourists from Australia increased by 17.3%, while arrivals from Africa declined by 2.5%. On a monthly basis, arrivals rose by 14.2%, bringing growth to 20.9% so far this year.
