Vietnam Retail Sales Rise the Least in 4 Months

Vietnam’s retail sales rose 14.1% year-on-year in September 2026, slowing slightly from 14.9% in the prior month and marking the slowest growth since May.
Still, sales growth remained robust across major categories, including goods (13.1% vs 12.8% in August), accommodation and food services (19.7% vs 16.4%), and travel (19.2% vs 17.1%).
Sales of other goods also posted a strong rise of 14.5%.
On a monthly basis, retail sales went up 1.7%.
In the first nine months of the year, retail trade increased 13.4% from the same period of 2025.
