Vietnam’s S&P Global Manufacturing PMI rose to 52.3 in October 2026, picking up from a three-month low of 51.9 in the previous month.
Manufacturing output expanded for another month, supported by stronger customer demand and continued growth in new orders.
However, the pace of expansion eased to a six-month low, with some manufacturers reporting that difficulties sourcing raw materials had constrained production.
Meanwhile, supplier delivery times lengthened to their greatest extent since April, largely due to higher fuel costs and adverse weather conditions.
On the price front, input cost inflation rose for a second straight month to its fastest pace since June, but remained well below the spike recorded following the outbreak of the Middle East war.
Manufacturers subsequently raised selling prices at a faster pace.
Lastly, business confidence climbed to an eight-month high, reflecting optimism over improved raw material availability and further strengthening in market conditions.
