Thailand House Price Index
In Thailand, the House Price Index refers to a three-month moving average of single detached house with land prices. The index is calculated from 17 commercial banks’ mortgage loan nationwide (Bangkok, Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom and Samut Sakhon) and a government housing bank. The use of moving averages smooths out the series by removing the irregular movements, allowing the detection of the short-term trends.
