The annual inflation rate in Moldova eased to 6.8% in December 2025 from 7% in the previous month.

Price growth slowed for food products at 5.6% from 6.3% in November, mainly due to a decline in vegetable prices, and softer price increases for meats, fruits, milk and dairy products, eggs, and vegetable oil.

Costs in non-food products also moderated to 2.3% from 2.7%, driven by falling fuel prices, and slower gains in clothing, medicines, and building materials.
