Lithuania Current Account Swings to Surplus

Lithuania’s current account posted a surplus of EUR 137.74 million in April 2025, reversing from a deficit of EUR 94.28 million in the same month of the previous year.

This marked the third consecutive month of current account surplus, driven by a widening services account surplus, which rose to EUR 954.18 million from EUR 584.75 million a year ago.

Additionally, the secondary income account shifted to a surplus of EUR 77.32 million from a shortfall of EUR 31.15 million.

Meanwhile, the goods account gap expanded to EUR 591.56 million from EUR 355.95 million, as well as the primary income deficit to EUR 302.2 million from EUR 291.93 million in the corresponding month last year.
