Kyrgyzstan Inflation Rate Hits 3-Month Low

Kyrgyzstan’s annual inflation rate eased to 8.4% in September 2025 from a two-year high of 9.5% in the previous month.
It marked the lowest reading since June, as prices moderated for food and non-alcoholic beverages (10.7% vs 13.1% in August), transport (3.8% vs 4.7%), and alcoholic beverages and tobacco products (7.2% vs 8.4%).
Moreover, prices remained stable for housing services, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels (13.7%), communication (0%), and miscellaneous goods and services (3.4%).
On the other hand, costs increased at a faster pace for household items and appliances (1.2% vs 0.6%), clothing and footwear (1.7% vs 1.6%), health (9.1% vs 8.3%), education (30.5% vs 24.2%), and restaurants and hotels (2.2% vs 1.9%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices stood at 0.4% in September, unchanged from the previous month.
