Kazakhstan Producer Inflation Eases for 2nd Month

Producer price inflation in Kazakhstan slowed to 5.6% in August 2026, the lowest in seven months, compared to 9.1% in July.
A slowdown was seen in cost for mining and quarrying (5.1% vs 10.9%) and manufacturing (5.5% vs 7.8%) while inflation accelerated slightly to electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning (12% vs 11.8%) and water supply and waste collection (8.7% vs 7.9%).
Compared to the previous month, the PPI decreased 1.2%.
