Kazakhstan Producer Inflation Moderates in September

Producer prices in Kazakhstan rose by 6.5% year-on-year in September 2025, slowing slightly from 6.7% in the previous month.

On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up 0.2%, easing from the 2.2% rise in August.

For the January–September period, producer prices were up 7.4% compared with the same period a year earlier.

Kazakhstan Producer Inflation Hits 13-Month Low
The annual producer inflation in Kazakhstan eased to 3.9% in December 2025 from 7.1% in the previous month. This was the lowest producer inflation rate since November 2024, amid slower price increases for manufacturing (13.5% vs 14% in November) and electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning (19.2% vs 19.3%), as well as a sharper decline in mining and quarrying costs (-7.4% vs -1.7%). Meanwhile, inflation edged up for water supply; sanitation; waste collection, treatment and disposal; pollution control activities (10.3% vs 10.2%). On a monthly basis, producer prices fell by 1.1% in December, following a 0.3% drop in November.

Kazakhstan Producer Inflation Highest in 6 Months
Annual producer inflation in Kazakhstan accelerated to 8.4% in October 2025, the highest in six months, from 6.5% in September. Prices rose the most for supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning (19.2%); water supply; sanitation; waste collection, treatment and disposal; pollution control activities (10.6%); manufacturing (2.9%); and mining and quarrying (1%). Compared to the previous month, producer prices went up 1.2%. Meanwhile, producer prices increased 7.5% in the first ten months of 2025 compared with the same period in 2024.
