Kazakhstan Inflation Rate Hits 13-Month Low

The annual inflation rate in Kazakhstan slowed to 10.6% in April 2026 from 11% in the previous month, marking its lowest reading since March 2025.
The main downward pressure came from food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.5% vs 4.7% in March), while inflation remained unchanged for housing and utilities (0.6%), transport (1%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.2%), household items (0.5%), communication (0.3%), education (0.2%), restaurants and hotels (0.2%), and miscellaneous goods and services (1%).
In contrast, costs increased at a faster pace for clothing and footwear (0.9% vs 0.1%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up to 0.8% from 0.6% in March.
