Greece Jobless Rate Continues to Decline

Greece’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 7.5% in December 2025, the lowest level since May 2008, compared to a downwardly revised 8.1% in November.
The number of unemployed people declined by 31.2 thousand from the previous month, bringing the total to 354.9 thousand.
At the same time, employment fell by 19.4 thousand, leaving the total number of employed individuals at around 4.4 million.
Meanwhile, the number of people outside the labour force increased by 48.3 thousand to approximately 3 million.
