Greece Inflation Rate Picks Up to 2% in October

The annual inflation rate in Greece rose to 2% in October 2025, from 1.9% in the previous month.
Cost accelerated for food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.5% vs 1.4% in August), housing (3% vs 0.2%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (1.2% vs 1%), recreation and culture (1.5% vs 1%), health (3.6% vs 0.1%), and hotels, cafés, and restaurants (6.1% vs 5.9%).
On the other hand, prices slowed for clothing and footwear (5% vs 5.2%), and transport (0.4% vs 2.7%), and prices fell for household equipment (-0.4% vs 0.4%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.1% in October, after a 0.8% rise in September.
