Greece’s economy expanded 0.6% quarter-on-quarter in Q3 2025, following a downwardly revised 0.4% gain in the previous quarter, marking the strongest quarterly growth since Q4 2024.
The acceleration was mainly driven by faster growth in final consumption expenditure (0.6% vs 0.5% in Q2), led by government spending (0.2% vs 0.0%), while household consumption remained stable at 0.7%.
However, gross fixed capital formation slowed (3.5% vs 8.7%), while net external demand weakened due to slower export growth (0.2% vs 0.7% in Q2) alongside a sharper decline in imports (-1.6% vs -1.1%).
On an annual basis, Greece’s GDP rose 2.0% in Q3 2025, surpassing the downwardly revised 1.6% growth in Q2 2025.
