Greece Trade Deficit Narrows in September

The trade deficit in Greece narrowed to EUR 2.7 billion in September 2025 from EUR 3.1 billion in the same month last year, as exports rose while imports dropped.
Exports grew by 4.0% year-on-year to EUR 4.2 billion, driven by higher sales to the EU (5.6%) and third countries (2.1%).
Meanwhile, imports decreased by 3.6% to EUR 6.9 billion, dragged by a 9% decline in imports from third countries, which offset a 1.4% increase in arrivals from the EU.
Over the January–September period, the trade deficit narrowed to EUR 24.4 billion from EUR 25.2 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.
