Georgia Jobless Rate Rises to 14.3% in Q2

The unemployment rate in Georgia rose to 14.3% in the second quarter of 2025, from 13.7% in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The number of unemployed persons increased by 7.9 thousand to 227.6 thousand.
The jobless rate for women went up to 12.2% from 10.9% in Q2 2024, while that for men remained unchanged at 15.9%.
Meanwhile, the employment rate fell to 46.4% from 47% a year ago, with the number of employed persons dropping by 21.5 thousand to 1,366.3 thousand.
The labor force participation rate edged down to 54.1% from 54.5%.
