On a monthly basis, consumer prices went up 0.7 percent, accelerating from a 0.3 percent rise in October.

On a monthly basis, producer prices went up 1.5 percent, from a 0.9 percent gain in September.

Meanwhile, output slowed in public administration (1.9 percent vs 5.4 percent); hotels & restaurants (4.5 percent vs 12.9 percent) and communications (3.5 percent vs 6.9 percent). In addition, contractions were seen in agriculture (-3.3 percent vs -1.8 percent) and construction (-7.1 percent vs 14 percent).
