Belarus’ industrial production edged up 0.2% year-on-year in the first eight months of 2026, following a 0.1% increase in the first seven months.
Growth was supported by a 7.5% increase in electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air-conditioning supply, while mining and quarrying output rose 2.7%.
Water supply, waste management and remediation activities increased 1.6%.
However, manufacturing output contracted 1%, limiting gains in other sectors and remaining in contraction for more than a year.
