Belarus Industrial Activity Declined in March

Industrial production in Belarus fell 3.4% year-on-year in the first three months of 2026, a slight improvement from a 3.7% drop in the first two months.

Mining and quarrying increased 2.2% and electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply increased 8.2%.

In contrast, manufacturing activities declined by 6.7% and water supply, waste management and remediation activities decreased 0.2%.

Industrial production in Belarus fell 3.7% year-on-year in February 2026, with manufacturing down 7.0% and water supply and waste management down 2.1%. In contrast, electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply rose 12.4%, while mining increased 1.3%.

Belarus Factory Output Drops in January
Industrial production in Belarus slipped by 3.4% year-on-year in January 2026, compared to a 2.9% increase in the same period a year ago. Output declined for manufacturing (-7.5%); water supply, waste management, and remediation activities (-2.9%) and mining & quarrying (-1.3%). Conversely, production climbed for electricity, gas, hot water and conditioning supply (+17.5%).
