Belarus Industrial Output Falls in February

Industrial production in Belarus fell 3.7% year-on-year in February 2026, with manufacturing down 7.0% and water supply and waste management down 2.1%.

In contrast, electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply rose 12.4%, while mining increased 1.3%.

Belarus Factory Output Drops in January
Industrial production in Belarus slipped by 3.4% year-on-year in January 2026, compared to a 2.9% increase in the same period a year ago. Output declined for manufacturing (-7.5%); water supply, waste management, and remediation activities (-2.9%) and mining & quarrying (-1.3%). Conversely, production climbed for electricity, gas, hot water and conditioning supply (+17.5%).

Belarus Industrial Output Falls for 1st Time Since 2022
Industrial production in Belarus shrank by 1.8% year-on-year in 2025, marking the first decline since 2022, compared to a 5.4% growth a year ago. Output fell for manufacturing (-2.5%) while water supply, waste management, and remediation activities remained broadly unchanged. Meanwhile, production increased for mining & quarrying (+2.7%) and electricity, gas, hot water and conditioning supply (+1.7%).
