Azerbaijan GDP Growth Nears One-Year High

Azerbaijan’s gross domestic product expanded by 1.6% year-on-year in January to November 2025, accelerating from a 1.3% growth in the ten months to October but slowing from a 4.1% rise in the same period last year.
This marked the sharpest growth since December 2024, with the value added in the non-oil and gas sector of the economy rising by 3.2%, while the oil and gas sector contracted by 1.8%.
On the production side, industry was the largest contributor to GDP production, accounting 34%, followed by trade and vehicle repair (10.6%), transport and warehousing (7.2%), construction (6.5%), agriculture, forestry, and fishing (6.4%), tourist accommodation and public catering (2.8%), information and communication (1.9%), other sectors (21.1%), and net taxes on products and imports (9.5%).
