Armenia Inflation Rate Steady at 3.7%

Armenia’s annual inflation rate rose to 4.3% in February 2026 from 3.8% in the previous month, marking the highest reading since May 2025. Prices increased for food and non-alcoholic beverages (6.5% vs 5.9% in January), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (10.3% vs 9.0%), clothing and footwear (0.6% vs 0.3%), health (4.5% vs 3%), restaurants and hotels (4.0% vs 3.2%), and miscellaneous goods and services (2.6% vs 2.2%). At the same time, costs rebounded for housing and utilities (0.5% vs -0.1%), while remaining steady for education (8.3%). Conversely, prices declined for furnishing and household equipment (-0.1% vs 0.7%) and recreation and culture (-0.4% vs 0.2%), while inflation moderated for transport (3.6% vs 4.3%) and communication (0.3% vs 0.6%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices eased to 0.5% in February, following a 2.0% gain in the prior month.

At the same time, costs remained steady for clothing and footwear (0.3%), and education (8.3%). Conversely, prices declined for housing and utilities (-0.1% vs 0.3%), while inflation eased for transport (4.3% vs 6.2%), miscellaneous goods and services (2.2% vs 2.8%), communication (0.5% vs 0.6%), and recreation and culture (0.2% vs 0.9%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 2% in January, following a 1.2% gain in the prior month.

The annual inflation rate in Armenia edged up to 3.3% in December 2025 from 3.1% in the previous month. Prices increased at a faster pace for food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.3% vs 3.8% in November), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (7.3% vs 6.7%), transport (6.2% vs 5%), restaurants and hotels (2.9% vs 2.7%), and miscellaneous goods and services (2.8% vs 2.4%). At the same time, prices in clothing and footwear rebounded (0.3% vs -0.2%), while costs remained steady for communication (0.6%) and education (8.3%). Meanwhile, inflation eased for housing and utilities (0.3% vs 0.6%), furnishings and household equipment (0.2% vs 1.0%), health (2.5% vs 3%), and recreation and culture (0.9% vs 2.5%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 1.2% in December from 0.6% in the previous month.
