Armenia Inflation Rate at Over 2-Year High

The annual inflation rate in Armenia rose to 4.3% in May 2025 from 3.2% in the previous month.
This marked the highest reading since March 2023, as prices accelerated notably for food and non-alcoholic beverages (7.4% vs 5.2% in April), housing and utilities (1.4% vs 0.9%), and restaurants and hotels (2.4% vs 1.5%).
On the other hand, inflation eased for both alcoholic beverages and tobacco (5.8% vs 6.1%) and recreation and culture (0.6% vs 1.6%), while it remained unchanged for transport (4.2%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.3% in May, following a 0.5% growth in the preceding period.
