Tunisia's annual inflation rate eased to 5.3% in June 2026 from 5.5% in May, marking its lowest level in three months.
The slowdown was mainly driven by softer price increases for food and beverages (7.1% vs. 8.2% in May).
On the other hand, inflation accelerated for housing and utilities (4.3% vs. 4.2%), health (2.9% vs. 2.8%), transport (2.4% vs. 2.3%), and recreation and culture (4.4% vs. 4.3%).
Meanwhile, core inflation, which excludes food and energy, edged up to 4.9% from 4.8%.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.2%, easing from a 0.3% increase in May, as higher clothing and footwear (1.7%) and restaurant and hotel prices (1.0%) were partly offset by a 0.9% decline in food and beverage prices.
