Moody’s Investors Service upgraded Qatar's rating by one level to Aa2 from Aa3 and changed the credit outlook to stable from positive on January 25th.

The agency said the move reflected its view that the significant improvement in Qatar’s fiscal metrics, achieved during 2021-2023, will be sustained in the medium term.

It anticipates that the government will uphold fiscal prudence, which includes the ongoing reduction of its infrastructure spending program.

Moody's also pointed out Qatar’s “large ramp-up” in LNG production as a positive factor.

Standard & Poor's credit rating for Qatar stands at AA with stable outlook.

Fitch's credit rating for Qatar was last reported at AA- with positive outlook.
