Palestine Consumer Prices Post Largest Drop on Record

Consumer prices in Palestine fell by 17.08% in October 2025, reversing a 17.65% increase in the previous month.
This marked the sharpest deflation on record, largely influenced by the announcement of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Prices declined in most categories, including food and non-alcoholic beverages (-10.06% vs 41.6% in September), alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics (-75.48% vs -66.02%), housing and utilities (-3.19% vs 221.91%), furnishings, household equipment, and maintenance (-3.05% vs 3.23%), health (-0.09% vs 1.20%), recreation sport culture gardens and pets (-3.75% vs -3.14%), and miscellaneous goods & services (-2.12% vs 2.89%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices decreased by 23.04%, deepening from 8.0% drop in September.
