Mongolia GDP Grows 2.4%

Mongolia's economy grew by 2.4% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2025, slowing from a 4.9% expansion in the previous three-month period.

This marked the weakest economic growth since the second quarter of 2022, amid contractions in transportation (-1.2%) and wholesale and retail trade (-0.6%), while construction activity remained flat.

Meanwhile, output increased for agriculture (1.0%), manufacturing (0.4%), and services (1.2%).
