Also, prices rebounded for transport (1 percent from -1.1 percent) and inflation was steady for furniture & household equipment (1 percent) while prices went up softer for alcoholic beverages & tobacco (5.2 percent from 5.6 percent) and restaurant & hotels (0.4 percent from 0.7 percent). On the other hand, prices continued to fall for housing & utilities (-0.1 percent from -0.2 percent); clothing & footwear (-1 percent from -0.6 percent); miscellaneous goods & services (-0.7 percent from -0.5 percent); communication (-1.8 percent from -1.6 percent) and education (-0.5 percent, the same as in June). On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up 0.2 percent, after a 1.1 percent drop in June.
