Producer prices in Kyrgyzstan increased 12.7% year-on-year in September 2024, the most so far this year, following an 11.2% rise in both August and July.
Biggest upward pressure came from cost of manufacturing (11.3% vs 9.2% in August), namely food products (3.1% vs 2.8%), rubber and plastics (4.1% vs 2.1%) and base metals (16.9% vs 13.5%).
On the other hand, prices rose less for mining (17.2% vs 18.8%) and utilities (21.6% vs 22.8%) and edged down for water supply and waste management (-0.1% vs 0.2%).
