Kuwait Inflation Rate Lowest Since 2020

The annual inflation rate in Kuwait slowed to 2.25% in April 2025, down from 2.41% in the previous month.
It marked the softest pace since September 2020, with food and beverage prices rising the least since July 2020 (4.61% vs 4.99% in March).
Prices also moderated for clothing & footwear (4.10% vs 4.26%) and communication (0.64% vs 0.72%), while prices of cigarettes and tobacco were flat, after edging up 0.07% in March.
Meanwhile, inflation was steady for housing services (0.74%), recreation and culture (1.92%), restaurants and hotels (1.50%), health (3.79%), home furnishings and maintenance equipment (3.46%), and education (0.87%).
On the other hand, miscellaneous goods and services prices accelerated (4.90% vs 4.72%).
Additionally, transport costs declined at a faster pace (-1.05% vs -0.98%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices climbed by 0.15% in April, the lowest in three months, easing from a 0.29% gain in March, which had been the fastest pace in three months.
