Kazakhstan’s economic activity grew by 4.5% year-on-year in January 2025, easing from 6.2% in the previous month and marking the slowest expansion since August 2024.
The sustained growth was primarily driven by strong performances in transportation and storage (+19%), construction (+12.7%), retail trade (+3.9%), and agriculture (+3.8%).
However, certain sectors saw declines, with communication contracting by 0.5% and industrial production falling by 2.3%.
