Kazakhstan Posts Strongest Growth Since 2013

Kazakhstan’s economy expanded by 5.6% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2025, marking the fastest growth rate since 2013.
This compares with 4.8% growth for the full year of 2024 and a notable acceleration from 3.8% in the first quarter of 2024.
Goods production rose by 7.7%, driven by strong performances in manufacturing (8.7%), mining (6.1%), and construction (16.9%).
Meanwhile, the services sector grew by 4.5%, supported by wholesale and retail trade, including motor vehicle and motorcycle repair (6.3%), transport and storage (21.0%), education (2.2%), financial and insurance activities (1.7%), and real estate services (1.6%).
