Ivory Coast Inflation Rate at 3-Year Low

The annual inflation rate in the Ivory Coast eased to a 3-year low of 3.1% in January 2024 from 3.9% in the previous month.
Prices rose at a softer pace for food & non-alcoholic beverages (4.5% vs 6.7% in December 2023), transport (4.7% vs 5.2%), clothing & footwear (0.7% vs 1.1%), and miscellaneous goods & services (1.5% vs 2.3%).
Meanwhile, costs increased for housing & utilities (3.4% vs 3.1%), furnishings & household equipment (4% vs 3.2%), and health (1.2% vs 0.8%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices decreased 0.9% in January, following a 0.9% rise in December.
