Retail sales in Greece rose by 1.8% year-on-year in June 2025, recovering from an upwardly revised 5.8% drop in the previous month.
The upturn was mainly driven by rebounds seen in sales from both the food (3.6% vs -5% in May) and non-food sectors (3.2% vs -2%).
Additionally, activity declined at a lesser extent for automotive fuel (-1% vs -9.8%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail trade increased by 2.2% in June, the strongest growth in seven months and rebounding from an upwardly revised 1.8% fall in the preceding period.
