Belgium Consumer Morale Worsens to 2-Year Low

Belgium's consumer confidence indicator fell to -11 in January 2025 from -9 in December 2024, marking the thirteenth consecutive month of negative readings.
It was also the lowest reading since January 2023, as pessimism worsened regarding the general economic situation in the country (-30 vs -24 in December 2024), and the propensity to save decreased (18 vs 21).
Meanwhile, unemployment prospects remained unchanged (32), as well as sentiment about personal financial situations (-2).
