Azerbaijan GDP Rises 0.9% in January to July

Azerbaijan’s economy grew by 0.9% year-on-year in January-July, slowing from a 1.5% growth in January-June and from a 4.5% rise in the same period last year.

The non-oil and gas sector fell by 3.3%, while the oil and gas sector rose by 3.1%.

On the production side, the main contributors to the GDP growth were industry (35.0%), trade and vehicle repair (10.1%), transportation and warehousing (7.0%), agriculture, forestry, and fishing (6.3%), and construction (6.0%).
