Azerbaijan GDP Rises 0.9% in Jan–Apr 2025

Azerbaijan’s economy expanded by 0.9% year-on-year in January–April 2025, accelerating from 0.3% growth in the first quarter but down sharply from a 4.3% increase in the same period of 2024.

The non-oil and gas sector grew by 3.3% year-on-year, while the oil and gas sector contracted by 3.5%.

On the production side, the main contributors to GDP were industry (37.3% of GDP), trade and vehicle repair (9.9%), transportation and storage (7%), and construction (5.9%).
